Teresa Eagan & Team-In-Training
I am a 21 year old college student majoring in elementary education. I have been a runner/running since middle school. I found Team-In-Training to be a wonderful opportunity for me to be able to train with other people for a marathon and raise money for a worthy cause. I am planning on running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. during my fall break this October. This marathon will be my second, my first was the Chicago Marathon this past October.
As a part of the Team-In-Training Marine Corps Marathon, I will be running for a honored patient. My honored patient's name is two year old Amber and she is surviving leukemia. I find her to be a true inspiration to myself, not only because she is a fighter, but because I love kids and I am an elementary education major, so being paired with a child is very special to me. My commitment to this program not only includes training for a marathon, but raising $3300 to benefit the research on cures and treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease. Without funds for research, a cure will not be found. Are you wondering what you can do to help?
